HOW TO DEFROST MEAT
FROZEN MEAT IS PRACTICAL TO COOK, HOWEVER, YOU MUST DECREASE IT PROPERLY TO AVOID BACTERIA GROWING IN YOUR FOOD. WE OFFER RULES TO RESPECT TO DEFROSTING YOUR MEAT PROPERLY.
- Never thaw at room temperature to avoid possible bacterial contamination. Unlike freezing, thawing must be slow so that the meat retains all its qualities.
- Ideally, thaw the meat in the refrigerator (3 to 4 hours for small rooms and 12 to 24 hours for large rooms). Consider these times to plan meals.
- Leave the meat in its packaging if it is packaged. If not, place with a food film on a rack over a hollow dish to prevent the meat from soaking in the liquid from defrosting.
Tip: If time is pressing, defrost the meat in the microwave oven by putting it in defrost mode and respecting the time and rest period indicated on the instructions for use.
